Keep your rescue team
up to date.

Track animals in foster care, record adoption progress and organise the people who support your rescue. Pawsies brings these records together so your team can find the information they need.

Know which animals are in foster care

Record each placement with an animal, foster carer and start date. Creating the placement updates the animal’s living situation to Foster. Use the placements page to review active and completed stays.

  • Link each placement to an animal and carer
  • Record the reason for the placement and any notes
  • Review active, completed or all placements

Track each animal’s adoption status

Set an animal’s status to Not Available, Available, Pending, Reserved or Adopted. Your team can use these statuses to find animals at the same stage and build a list of those available for adoption.

  • Update adoption status on the animal’s record
  • Filter animals by their recorded status
  • Keep adopter contact details in Pawsies

Keep one contact record for each person

Someone who helps your rescue may also adopt or donate. Add the relevant roles to their existing contact instead of entering their contact details again.

  • Record individuals and organisations
  • Use adopter, contributor, collaborator and sponsor roles
  • Identify collaborators such as volunteers, vets and foster homes

Share animals available for adoption

Create a Smart List with Adoption Status set to Available, then share its public gallery. When your team changes an animal’s status, the list reflects whether that animal still matches the filter.

  • Share a link that visitors can open without a login
  • Choose which animal details visitors can see
  • Control visibility of your organisation’s name
  • Deactivate the link when sharing is no longer needed

Record donations and rescue expenses

Add income with an amount, date, category and sender. Record expenses separately and link them to the animal, location or contact they concern. This gives your team a clear record of money received and spent.

  • Link income to an existing contact or enter a one-off sender
  • Record payment methods and references
  • Attach supporting files to income and expenses
  • Review totals and generate reports

Give volunteers the access they need

Invite volunteers with their own login and choose their access level. Custom permissions let you control access to different areas of the organisation.

Schedule regular work

Create tasks for home checks, follow-ups and other work. Assign them to a team member, set a due date and choose a repeat schedule when needed.

Keep agreements with the relevant records

Upload adoption agreements, foster agreements and vet results. A document can be attached to more than one record, so your team can find the same file from the animal or contact it concerns.

Make handovers easier

Keep care notes, contact details, documents and assigned work in shared records. When another volunteer takes over, they can review the information your team has recorded and see what needs attention.

Questions rescue groups ask

Can foster carers have their own login?

Yes. Invite them as users and choose their permissions. Access is configured by feature area, so check those permissions before inviting someone who should have limited access.

User Management
What adoption information can we keep?

You can record adoption status on animals, keep adopter contact records and upload agreements. This helps your team organise the information collected during its adoption process.

Can I track spending on each animal?

Yes. When recording an expense, select the animal it relates to. Animal profiles include expense and total-spending widgets.

Finances
How many animals can we record?

Animal and team-member limits depend on your plan. The pricing page lists the current allowances so you can choose a plan for your rescue.
