Lists that update automatically
Choose conditions such as Cat and Neutered: No. The list includes animals whose records match, and updates as those records change.
Animal ListsWhether you’re a volunteer-run rescue or a shelter processing hundreds of animals a year, Pawsies replaces the scattered spreadsheets, group chats and paper files with one record per animal: searchable, current, and still complete after the person who wrote it moves on.
No credit card required. Set up in minutes.
Cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and wildlife are ready to use. Add other animal types and configure fields for each one. Keep identification, photos, care information and history together in the animal’s profile.
Record prescribed medication schedules, log doses and attach veterinary documents to the animal’s record. Add tasks for follow-up appointments so the team can see what needs to happen next.
A foster placement links the animal to its carer, with a start date and notes. Review active placements and past stays, and find the carer’s contact details when you need to get in touch.
Record an animal’s arrival, update its adoption status and link its adopter. Keep contracts with the relevant records and add an outcome when the animal leaves care.
Create a location for each colony and assign its cats. Record neuter and ear-tip status, log feeding rounds and use the location’s animal list to plan the next visit.

"Most foster agreements spend three pages on feeding and leash rules and one sentence on who owns the animal. That is the wrong ratio. Here is a ten-clause agreement you can copy, and the argument for why the care rules should be taken out of it entirely."
An adoption transfers ownership, which puts a cross-border rescue transport outside the pet passport regulation entirely. The sending establishment must be approved by its competent authority, and every animal needs an official health certificate issued within 48 hours of departure.
DogsThe IRS sample conflict of interest policy defines the problem as a financial one, so the copy in your binder does nothing about the conflicts that damage rescues — who gets first refusal on the adoptable dog, whose friend gets the fee waived, which household the good foster animals go to. A nine-article policy that covers those, plus the argument that a bylaw banning insider payment governs it worse than permitting it under conditions.
Shelters, foster networks and animal welfare organisations around the world are joining Pawsies.
