Group animals for a particular purpose, such as planning neutering or sharing animals available for adoption. Choose the animals yourself, or use filters to create a list that updates when their records change.
The Lists page shows each list’s name, animal count and a preview of its photos. Manual and Smart labels tell you how the animals in each list are selected.
In a manual list, you choose which animals to add or remove. A Smart List selects animals using filters you set, such as location or adoption status. When someone updates an animal’s record, its information determines whether it belongs in the list.
Choose a field and a value for each filter. For example, select a particular location and set Neutered to No. Animals must match every filter in a group. Add another group to include animals that meet a different set of conditions.
Share a list with potential adopters or people outside your team. Visitors can open the gallery without a Pawsies login. Animal names are always shown; you choose which other details to include in the sharing settings.
These examples use information recorded about your animals. Update their records as their circumstances change, and the lists will reflect those changes.
Choose Cat as the animal type and set Neutered to No. After you record a cat as neutered, it no longer matches. To also include cats whose neuter status needs checking, add an alternative group with Neutered set to Unknown.
Set Adoption Status to Available to bring together animals your team has marked as ready for adoption. Use the public gallery to share the list with potential adopters, choosing which details to show.
Set Microchipped to No to find animals recorded as needing a chip. Add an alternative group set to Unknown if your team also needs to check unconfirmed records.

An animal can appear in several lists while keeping one shared record. Within a list, search by name, nickname or chip number, filter by location or care status, and sort the results. Choose compact rows or a photo grid to suit the task.
